PRELUDE EN ROSE has a circular, mysteriously shifted but dance-like rhythm. In this spiralling glide, the mystical and floating nature of the archetype of the ‘rose’ comes to the fore particularly vividly: with pain & suffering, blossoms & thorns, the beauty of the rose is something ambivalent, which - also through the fivefold structure of blossoms and leaves - has made it a symbol of love, Venus or Holy Mary.
