YIN & YANG..... is about a philosophic concept of the Daoism that is more than 2000 years old: there is no real duality; the alleged antitheses are subject to constant change and the dark arises from the light, the positive arises from the negative. The principle of polarity contains the polar contrast, but the pairs are inseparably connected and are always related to one another. "I Ging" or "Yi Jin" ( the "book of changes") states that the negative cannot grow infinitely, but will turn into the positive. Conversely, the wise man also learned, that happiness is not permanent, but must turn back into the dark. The wise man can thus always foresee the change and take precautions.

Introduction: YIN & YANG. CONCERTO FOR SHENG AND ORCHESTRA.... is about a philosophic concept of the Daoism that is more than 2000 years old: there is no real duality; the alleged antitheses are subject to constant change and the dark arises from the light, the positive arises from the negative. The principle of polarity contains the polar contrast, but the pairs are inseparably connected and are always related to one another. The two common symbols of YIN & YANG are, on the one hand, the Taji symbol, i.e. the two fish emerging from each other in black and white, and, on the other hand, the Hotu symbol with two cosmological spiral galaxies, which are also connected into one another in black and white. The sum of black and white is always constant: therefore the philosophic principle (as also expressed in "I Ging" or"Yi Jin", the "book of changes") states that the negative cannot grow infinitely, but will turn into the positive. Conversely, the wise man also learned, that happiness is not permanent, but must turn back into the dark. The wise man can thus always foresee the change and take precautions. He can laugh in the rain because the sun will surely be back!

To differentiate:
1) YIN is the female, passive and soft principle; the rest, the death, the dark moon, dark and cold. 2) YANG is the male, hard and active principle; the working, the life, the full moon, bright and hot.
