This was my second soundtrack on my way getting a film composer:
HURE, a film (1982/83) by Volker Maria Arend, which became a cult film far beyond the Munich Film Academy HFF, mainly thanks to the intensity of the main actor Claude-Oliver Rudolph. The existentialism of a lost youth! Claude-Oliver Rudolph plays the hustler Blue, who wants to quit but is almost executed by the pimp Rolf Zacher (a parade role for this born film villain) and his troupe. - A wonderful counterpoint to this hustler and criminal milieu is the angelically pure choir music, which was a brilliant idea of director Volker Maria Arend: "Make something like a Mozart mass" ... that's how he described his vision of the soundtrack.
Premiere at the Hofer Filmtage 1983.

Duration: 14:00, soundtrack 07:00

Unfortunately, Claude-Oliver Rudolph is mostly known today only in roles as a nasty villain such as the Chinese Fiete in D. Wedel's "King of St. Pauli" or as the villain in the James Bond film "The world is not enough In the early 80s he was far more a youth rebel, who breaks down full of idealism at the indifference of the bourgeois normal world. I fondly remember his role as the diesel heater Ario in "Das Boot" or as a Nazi in the film "Herbstmilch".
