For the subject "The New Jerusalem" at the jubilee celebration "40 Years UNESCO World Heritage Site", this selection from Psalm 84 was requested on the part of the Dommusik Speyer. In accordance with the text passages, the composition is in three parts. The practical instrumentation allows for a wide range of tonal colours. After a mystical, searching introduction, a bell-like chaconne leads to praise and thanksgiving.
