Introduction: 'Furiant' was composed in 1999 for a series of concerts of the Bavarian Radio 'Salonisti Bavarese'. The composer draws on the Bohemian fast dance with time changes and staccato rhythms, sketching the peasant-like figures in a countryish and course way.
