Category:  Chamber Music

Duration: 6 minutes

Publisher of notes/sheet music: Ries & Erler Musikverlag Berlin , 2018

Instrumentation: 10 transverse flutes (piccolo, large flutes, alto flutes, bass flutes)

Introduction: The composition was inspired by the idea of the Egyptian sun god. Ra is the highest and oldest of the ancient Egyptian gods (corresponding to Kronos of the Greek mythology). The sound of the 10 flutes symbolizes the bright sparkle of the sun (by a virtuoso endless movement) through their high registers and the dignity and power of this God the Father through their lower registers.
