BRANDENBURGER REMIXED as a "Homage 300 years Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 by J.S. Bach" sets the sound of trumpet in the foreground, because this central work of music history may be seen as the Mount Everest of literature for high trumpet. In the historically exact instrumentation, themes and motifs of J.S. Bach are taken over, continued and also contrasted with completely different sound material. Two choral preludes composed in may 2019: WIR GLAUBEN ALL AN EINEN GOTT (Text und Melodie: Martin Luther 1524 O TRAURIGKEIT, O HERZELEID (Text : Friedrich Spee 1628, Melodie: Mainz-Würzburg 1628) -------- Inspired and commissioned as part of the "Zepernicker Orgelbüchlein" (a project of Helmut Zapf and Thomas Noll/Berlin). The idea behind this ambitious project is: completing the legendary "Orgelbüchlein" of Johann Sebastian Bach. -

Jahrhundert geholt werden:Genau vor 400 Jahre ist William Byrd (1543-1623) verstorben und wird hier mit THE BELLS zum Leben wiedererweckt. BRANDENBURGER REMIXED wurde als Hommage zum 300. Geburtstag des Brandenburgischen Konzerts Nr. 2 komponiert. Das Saxophonkonzert SIDDHARTA wurde zum hundertsten Jahrestag Hermann Hesses vielmillionenfach akklamiertem Roman komponiert, in dem Hesse einen Buddha beschrieb, der uns um etwa 2500 Jahre in die Vergangenheit rückführt. SILK ROAD schließlich bezieht sich auf Marco Polo, der vor genau 700 Jahren im Januar 1324 in seinem Geburtsort Venedig gestorben ist. Holen wir uns also mit TIME TRAVELS – ZEITREISEN all diese Orte und Zeiten zurück, um sie ganz frisch noch einmal zu erleben. -

In contrast to the performers on stage - singers, soloists or ensembles - who are subject to a real professional ban, the composers can still compose and write their works.... even if the performances are permanently cancelled or have been postponed to a frustrating distance. Self-motivation has become arduous, vital flow is something other than the momentary paralysis of being winged. Nevertheless, twelve works have already been written in this year 2021..... -
