An eventful start to 2014

From a musical point of view the first quarter of the new year 2014 begins fulminantly. On 2. January the Thriller OHNE DICH (directed by: Florian Baymeyer) is braodcast for the first time on ARD. Then, after a journey to China (in Beijing und Xiamen commissions are to be discussed and rehearsed with Xincao Li, chief conductor of the China National Symphony Orchestra), my personal highlight for 2014 is the world premiere of the Oratorio ORDO AMORIS (after texts by Bernhard of Clairveaux): on 17. January in Munich as part of the series „Paradisi Gloria“ on BR Classic, - with Sophia Christine Brommer (soprano), Ralf Simon (tenor), the choir of the Bavarian Radio (under Markus Landerer) and the radio orchestra under GMD Prof. Ulf Schirmer, to whom the work has been dedicated. – In February the by now third performance of my „RESONANZEN“ for 4 castagnets and orchestra (Orquesta Filarmonica Madrid directed by Pascual Osa) in Madrid at the Auditorio Nacional is followed by the world premiere of „ROBERT SCHUMANNS TRAUMREISE“ after Schumann's Kerner-Lieder with the bass-baritone Michael Leibundgut and the Glasfarm-Ensemble New York. – Before Easter work on the 10-CD-Project 'recordings of my orchestra works' with the Label WERGO in Vienna/Grafenegg is continued with the recording of the 2. CD with the 'Österreichische Tonkünstler-Orchester (directed by Xincao Li, China): Soloists WuWei (Sheng) and Vesselina Kasarova (Soprano), who will sing my 3rd Symphony „Chinesische Jahreszeiten“ ..... All in all: Projects, that make my heart sing und that compensate for those nerve-racking tasks of a chairman of the supervisory board of GEMA and of a president of the German Composer's Association.
