"MARIA. Elegy for Organ" is inspired by the the famous "Gnadenbild (votive picture) Mariahilf" by the painter Lucas Cranach the Elder. It is located in the high altar of the Innsbruck Cathedral and is one of the most famous paintings of the Virgin Mary in the Alpine region and in Southern Germany. Countless copies of this painting exist for private prayer rooms.
